Teaching Dance Through a Trauma-Informed Lens

60-80% of all communication is nonverbal.  Why is this significant to you as a dance instructor? Dance instructors are constantly observing, seeing, and assessing.  Expanding observation skills and teaching methods to include a trauma-informed lens will create opportunity for becoming an even more effective teacher. In this workshop, participants will learn to identify, understand, and implement the values of trauma-informed care into their teaching methods and learn about interpersonal relationship considerations for being trauma-informed. This training goes beyond the typical trauma-informed training as it includes the body.

This workshop is ideal for dance studio settings and other similar settings interested in providing more in-depth training to their instructors.
